Aromatic and Delicious Chicken Fajita Marinade

You can make this recipe in the afternoon before you make your fajita dinner or you can make it in advance and freeze the chicken in the marinade. Then by the time it thaws out it is ready to cook. You will need other fajita ingredients if you are going to make fajitas, including tortillas, grated or shredded Mexican cheese, bell peppers, onions, and some condiments like sour cream, salsa and guacamole. Fajitas are a great dinner idea if you have some chicken and you want to make something exciting with it.

Marinating the chicken in a chicken fajita marinade gives it an authentic Mexican flavor which your dinner guests will love. Use fresh lime juice in this chicken fajita marinade for the best results. The combination of beer, lime juice, garlic and cumin really infuses a south of the border taste into the poultry, and the addition of sugar, Worcestershire sauce and cilantro boosts the Mexican taste even more.

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ lbs chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup beer
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 whole minced garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ⅓ cup lime juice
Instructions
  1. Stir the lime juice, beer, garlic, brown sugar, cilantro, salt, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil together.
  2. Mix well and pour into a big Ziploc bag.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and marinate for 2 or 3 hours in the refrigerator.
  4. Remove the chicken, discard the marinade, and proceed with your fajita recipe.
